Cookie Policy
Effective 17 July 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Murandasi, owned and operated by NIYONKURU Olivier in Kigali, Rwanda, uses cookies and similar technologies (local storage, session storage, service workers) on our website and mobile apps (the "Service").
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website you visit. Similar technologies (localStorage, sessionStorage, IndexedDB, service worker caches) let a site store data on your device to work correctly and remember your preferences.
2. Categories we use
- Strictly necessary. Session and authentication tokens (Supabase auth), CSRF protection, and preferences required for the Service to function. These cannot be disabled.
- Functional. Interface preferences, pinned conversations, chat cache, language, and installed-PWA state. These make the Service usable across visits.
- Analytics (first-party). An anonymous session id used to count page visits and diagnose problems. We honor the browser's Do Not Track signal.
- Push notifications. Firebase Cloud Messaging registration tokens stored so we can deliver the notifications you enable.
We do not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site trackers.
3. Managing cookies
You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from signing in or using the Service. You can turn off push notifications at any time from Account → Notifications, or in your device settings.
4. Retention
Session tokens expire when you sign out or after their maximum lifetime. Preferences remain until you clear them or uninstall the app. Analytics session ids reset when you close the browser tab.
5. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced in-app.
